Tangled

The Tangled movie. It's a story about Rapunzel. A drop of sunlight falls to the ground and grows into a magical flower with the power to heal the sick and injured. Rapunzel's hair is the source of the magical power that can make someone young. This happened when the Queen, her mother, was healed by the flower during her childbirth. Unfortunately, Rapunzel was kidnapped by an old woman named Gothel. She knew the secrets of Rapunzel's hair. She hid Rapunzel in a very tall tower and raised her as her own child.  Every year on Rapunzel's birthday, her kingdom sends thousands of lanterns into the sky in hopes that the lost princess will return. On her 18th birthday eve, Rapunzel asks Gothel to let her see the floating lights, but Gothel refuses, telling her that the world is full of dangers.

That was the introduction of the movie. It was a nice animated movie. I watched it a few months ago and that's all i remembered. The sad thing is that, Gothel was dead. I know that it was a bad thing to kidnap a princess; but at least she did take a good care of Rapunzel. Maybe letting her get killed in this movie was not what I expected. I was expecting that Gothel would be jailed or something; but instead, she was killed in this movie. So sad.

Maybe people would think that this movie sounded childish. They are WRONG. They should watch it before judging. Like what we always say "Don't judge a book by it's cover". I know it doesn't sound like its meaning but it has something to do with that saying.

Watching this movie made me realize that our technology in media has improved a lot. I cried watching sad scenes in Tangled (which is weird). Proves that the animation contains an emotional garnishing. I had to use that "garnishing" word. I'm learning to be a chef.

Okay, that's about it. I'm hoping to watch some other animated, touching, funny movie. I have nothing else to say. So I'm out. ^.^

The Real Chris Gardner (from the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" post)

Wikipedia:

Gardner was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Thomas Turner and Bettye Jean Gardner. He was the second child born to Bettye Jean, his older half-sister is Ophelia from a previous union; and younger siblings are Sharon and Kimberly, children from his mother's marriage to Freddie Triplett.
Gardner did not have many positive male role models as a child, as his father was living in Louisiana during his birth, and his stepfather was physically abusive to his wife and children. Triplett's rages made Gardner and his sisters constantly afraid. In one incident, Bettye Jean was falsely imprisoned when Triplett reported her to the authorities for welfare fraud; the children were placed in foster care. When Gardner was eight years old, he and his sisters returned to foster care a second time when their mother, unbeknownst to them, was convicted of trying to kill Triplett by burning down the house while he was inside.
While in foster care, Gardner first became acquainted with his three maternal uncles: Archibald, Willie and Henry. Of the three, Henry had the most profound influence on him, entering Gardner's world at a time when he most needed a father figure. Tragically, Henry drowned in the Mississippi River when Chris was nine years old. The children learned that their mother had been imprisoned when she arrived at Henry's funeral escorted by a prison guard.
Despite her unhappy marriage and her periods of absence, Bettye Jean was a source of inspiration and strength to her son Chris. She encouraged Gardner to believe in himself and sowed the seeds of self-reliance in him. Gardner quotes her as saying, "You can only depend on yourself. The cavalry ain't coming." Gardner also determined from his early experiences that alcoholism, domestic abuse, child abuse, illiteracy, fear and powerlessness were all things he wanted to avoid in the future

The Pursuit of Happyness

First of all. The word Happyness looks weird. HAHA. It's a good story though. Inspiring young people like me. I watched it during English class yesterday. I could almost get caught crying in the class. It feels different when you are actually watching a movie which was inspired by a true story. I noticed the word "inspired by a true story" from the beginning of the movie and I knew it was going to be great. As I watched it, I imagined how it would be like if it was real and I began to feel sorry for the father and the son. Then, there was a time when I felt angry at the people who took him for granted. It was so touching and I felt so thankful that I don't have to suffer things like that since my parents raised me with an adequate living. This movie had taught me a lot and I know somehow great challenges may come in to our life, we just have to get ourself ready for any of that.

The movie was even more touching when the actor was Will Smith and Jaden Smith. Almost everybody knows that they are real family. They are both good actors and just by watching this movie, you will automatically know that they have a loving family in their real life. The part where they had to sleep in the toilet had me crying. I could almost fail to hide my tears from my classmates at that part. Haha. Chris (Will Smith) was silently crying while covering Christopher's (Jaden Smith) ears when there was someone banging at the toilet door. "Maybe he was trying to give his son some good night sleep." I thought.

Anyway, I think young people should watch it and learn how to be thankful of what your family has been doing for you. Not everybody has a prosperous life. Cherish your life while it's there. Cheers! ^.^

Twilight

Twilight? It has been a great sensation to the movie lovers nowadays. People would talk about it even though the only thing they see in advance is the movie trailer. Like what I see among my friends, they talk about it 3 months before the release. I would say "You rule!" to Catherine Hardwicke and Stephenie Meyer for the excellent teamwork.

In fact, I am one of the "Twilight geek" too BUT not as fanatic as some others that I believe do exist. The interesting flavour in this movie is that it has its own way of making people wanted to wait for the "what-will-happen-next" scene. Even though some of the scenes are draggy and dull, but the bond that the Twilight fans and the movie itself are able to make the fans think that the movie is going to get better on the next saga. HENCE, they will keep waiting until the next saga comes.

Keeping myself patient for the next Twilight saga: Breaking Dawn, I know it's going to be great. Just by watching the trailer of Bella getting married with Edward-the vegan vampire, makes me excited. I think it's going to be great this time. I might consider myself as a Twilight fan too. =.="

Talking about Twilight fans, something suddenly came up on my mind.-The Edward fan and Jacob fan thing. It's quite funny how people tend to fight for these characters. Haha! That's just the prove of having the high percentage of popularity. The movie is not only being loved by most people but is also hated by the rest of them. Pictures of Bella and Edward are photoshop-ed to be  something that might be amusing to the person who sees it. When there are lovers, there are haters too

To be considerately and purposely being out of this topic, I would conclude that movies are just movies and haters & lovers would still be haters & lovers; but 'nothing' would always be 'something' when we try our best to make it happen. (Motivations may sometime be useful in a blog even though it is "a little bit" not related to the topic we are talking about. Hehe.) Cheers! ^.^

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Rebecca Bloomwood was addicted to shopping which brings her to a ton of debts. She unintentionally landed a job writing for a financial magazine after accidentally mailing a good writing about financial in a letter. Overnight, her column becomes very popular that makes her an overnight celebrity. Her column was headed with her title as “The Girl in the Green Scarf”. The title was linked to the first time Rebecca and Luke met. At that time, she was lying about her sick aunt that she had to buy her a green scarf. She had herself getting some money change from Luke. The scarf was founded as hers when coincidentally Luke was her interviewer. (A true shopaholic would go out into the ocean just to shop.)

With her obsession in shopping, it was a total opposite from what her job was heading to. Her debt collector has been chasing her, calling her and stalking her. Losing her job for being accused of not paying her debts, has made her life miserable. Her bride-to-be best friend, Suze was angry with her when she finds out that Rebecca lost her bridesmaid dress-which makes her life even miserable. She decided to sell her clothes including the green scarf to pay her debts. Meanwhile, Luke has started a new company, Brandon Communications.

Rebecca clothes sale was a success that she was able to pay her debts. Rebecca attends Suze's wedding after reclaiming her bridesmaid dress, and Suze forgives her. Surprisingly, Luke returned the green scarf to Rebecca after revealing that the person who bought it at an auction was acting as his agent. Luke and Rebecca reunite and they began a new love life together with their new job at Luke’s new company.

It was a nice movie and this movie taught me about the disadvantages of excessive shopping in life and taught me how you turn your weaknesses into something valuable. Anyway, shop wisely. ^.^

The Terminal

A movie about a Bulgarian man travels to New York to fulfil his promise to his father.

What would I do if I were him (Vikor Navorski)?

Viktor was not allowed to go back to his own country and he's also forbidden to be in New York City. If I were him, I would probably do the same thing like what he did. It was a very childish way to observe people in the airport getting 25 cents reward for every trolley that they retrieved and decided to do the same thing just to get some money for lunch. At the same time, it is a very good way of collecting money for lunch when there's no employers in the airport that can accept you as their employee. I would also do that when I'm critically broke. In the other hand, losing food coupons was because of his carelessness. I would tell the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Head Frank Dixon that I lost my food coupons. Well, maybe it would be hard for him to communicate at that time but spontaneous sign language won't be so bad, right? I would also be friends with Enrique like what Viktor did. Being a cupid for him and his dream girl was actually a noble deed. Not to mention the foods provided by Enrique for giving some information about his dream girl. That was awesome! Helping people and getting rewards are exactly the things that I should do when I'm in Viktor's situation. Moreover, I am also impressed of Viktor on his discovery of construction work talent. I would also do what I enjoy doing and sooner or later people in the airport would notice my talent and make some business with it. Viktor was paid 19$ per hour which was said by Frank Dixon that Viktor's salary is way better than his. That's about it. If you haven't watch it, make some time for it or you will miss it.
Cheers! ^.^

Holiday is here!

First of all, I wanna thank all of you bloggers and blog-walkers who has been reading my post(s). Second of all, I wanna tell you guys that I'm on a holiday week. How do I describe it?

BORING.fun.BORING.fun.BORING.fun.

wEiRd HUH???

haha. Someone, anonymously asked for the lyrics of my song. Frankly saying, my lyrics was not grammatically perfect. My uncle mentioned me on that. But I knew it earlier than he did. It's just that, the song sounds better when a word is grammar-wronged (is that even a word?). So yeah... Here's the lyrics to my dear "ANONYMOUS" person. I appreciate your request! Thanks. ^.^
