Singing

I didn't know that I was chosen to be one of the finalist for my song "I am your best friend" until last week when I received a text saying "You are one of the finalist.". It clashes with "some other things" that I know I was suppose to attend. Unfortunately, I had to skip that "some other things" due to this singing thing. I don't know if the blame should be on me or should it be consider as a normal thing that will happen to everybody else when they can't attend "something" because of "something else". Have you ever experience this kind of situation? I am experiencing it right now. It feels weird and at the same time, I'm disappointed with "some other people" who was not able to understand it all when actually I've been trying hard to tell that "some other people" that I will not be able to attend that "some other things" because of my HUGE personal problem that will affect the whole "some other things". And now? I have a great reason why I am not attending your "some other things".

One word for the "some other things"

The Princess Diaries

My all time favourite! I felt like a princess just by watching this movie. I've watched like thousands of times. I love ot so much. It may sounds childish to some others but I just love it so much. It's about 15 year old girl who is living an average life with her single mother. When her mother visits her in San Fransisco, Mia thought that she came for tea but instead, she came to tell her about her real family. She belongs to the royal family of Genovia. She had hard times to get used to it but time helps her to be a good princess. She went through some nasty gossips and friendship problem but she managed to settle it down. When the time comes to make her as an official princess, she was scared and confused. Thanks to her late father for giving her a letter for her 16th birthday that strengthen her to be a real princess. She made her way to the royal house with a spontaneous attire and made her decision to be a princess and someday to rule Genovia.

I can tell you so much about this movie that I didn't have to stop typing and start thinking on how the story goes. I just love this movie. I started watching it since I was in primary school. A big fan. HAHA. This movie really tells me that I don't have to be afraid or ashamed for who I am and where I came from.
P / S: I love Anne Hathaway!
Cheers! ^.^

Avatar

Avatarrrrr!!! Yes it's Avatar. Blue face with white moles on the face. Weird. HAHA. First of all, I wanna say that it's a very long movie. It took about 171 minutes to finish. Gosh. That was long. It's awesome though. I felt like watching aliens moving infront of me. Best view is in the cinema without any 3D glasses. (They are annoying--->3D glasses.) Basically it's a story about an action-adventure journey of self-discovery, in the context of imperialism and deep ecology. Found that on wiki. I love wiki. It gives you informations. By the way, this is how the Avatar motion was captured.

Awesome huh? I know it's too late for me to talk about this but yeah... It is still on mind. I hate how they look like but somehow I do love it because it is unique. I love the graphic for being awesome. Referring to the high technology in movie making, it makes me think that animations would someday look like real people and maybe Angelina Jolie wouldn't grow old in movies. It may come to a concept of celebrities, just taking their royalty pay for being characterized in a movie. Avatar made me think that way. The graphic and all was too cool for me to criticize.

Making a movie is not easy as what we all know. A good producer and director helps the budget to be worth enough paying the movie's costs. Actors help the crew to double the profit. The crew help the actors to look good in camera. Helping each other make things gather. Cheers! ^.^

When In Rome

It was a great movie! My friend, Sue and I was talking about it on facebook chat. It was hilarious when Beth was trying hard to make the vase break into tiny pieces. It was a tradition where they have to hit the vase on something hard on a wedding day and the number of the broken pieces indicates the years of happiness in the future. Beth was trying hard on breaking it but failed. She tried and tried again until Nick came to help her and TADAAA! It's broken. Which makes me think that Beth would be happy in the future if it is spent with Nick. The other thing that I think was hilarious was when Nick translated Beth's speech on her sister's wedding. The translation was bad that Nick didn't really know how to translate it. The people went silent when the words that came out of Nick's mouth was quite embarrassing in a way.

I've been watching this movie for several times now. Once a month, I think. My dad asked me "Why do you watch it again and again when you've watch it once." I didn't say anything but to be frank, it's a girl thing. Girls like watching their favourite movies over and over again. It just feels good! HAHA.

It's an interesting comedy romance movie. It tells you that out of all the boys that you thought were not right for you, there must be one who is really true to you and love you for who you are. Love doesn't have to rush. Love is understanding. Love is patient. Love is precious. Love is pure. Love is wonderful. Those are the things I've learned in this movie. Inspiring for both adolescence and adults. Cheers! ^.^

Chucky

Chucky. He's the famous evil doll that any kid would ever know. My friend thought that he was cute and I was like "NO WAY!" He's ugly to me. I don't really remember how the story went. I watched it when I was about 7 years old or younger. I can't really remember. It's terrifying to watch a doll to kill something. Since then, having a doll that owns eyes like Chucky's, would end up having the rest of its life in my cupboard or in my closet. Every kid that watched Chucky would either become traumatized or get even more aggressive in imagining theirself as a Chucky doll. Kids have wide imagination till there's a time when they think that they can be a Superman.

I don't think that Chucky's movies are suitable for children because knowing that a child interprets things differently from the adults. They do not know how to differentiate the bad things from the good things around them. Everything that they see, touch or taste may come into their senses and influences their daily activity.

In an adult perspective, Chucky is a sensational horror movie. It is an awesome and unique horror movie. I'm not sure about the way adults interpret it but obviously, adults can think wiser compared to the younger ones.

Chucky brings memories of me and my cousins when we were so afraid to sleep in the room without our parents together with us. We even stayed up late to make sure that there will be no Chucky around. It felt too real to us during that time. Even though it's terrifying and scary in a way, it makes me remember my cousins. Horror movie can sometimes brings the old memories to be remembered. Cheers! ^.^

Tangled

The Tangled movie. It's a story about Rapunzel. A drop of sunlight falls to the ground and grows into a magical flower with the power to heal the sick and injured. Rapunzel's hair is the source of the magical power that can make someone young. This happened when the Queen, her mother, was healed by the flower during her childbirth. Unfortunately, Rapunzel was kidnapped by an old woman named Gothel. She knew the secrets of Rapunzel's hair. She hid Rapunzel in a very tall tower and raised her as her own child.  Every year on Rapunzel's birthday, her kingdom sends thousands of lanterns into the sky in hopes that the lost princess will return. On her 18th birthday eve, Rapunzel asks Gothel to let her see the floating lights, but Gothel refuses, telling her that the world is full of dangers.

That was the introduction of the movie. It was a nice animated movie. I watched it a few months ago and that's all i remembered. The sad thing is that, Gothel was dead. I know that it was a bad thing to kidnap a princess; but at least she did take a good care of Rapunzel. Maybe letting her get killed in this movie was not what I expected. I was expecting that Gothel would be jailed or something; but instead, she was killed in this movie. So sad.

Maybe people would think that this movie sounded childish. They are WRONG. They should watch it before judging. Like what we always say "Don't judge a book by it's cover". I know it doesn't sound like its meaning but it has something to do with that saying.

Watching this movie made me realize that our technology in media has improved a lot. I cried watching sad scenes in Tangled (which is weird). Proves that the animation contains an emotional garnishing. I had to use that "garnishing" word. I'm learning to be a chef.

Okay, that's about it. I'm hoping to watch some other animated, touching, funny movie. I have nothing else to say. So I'm out. ^.^

The Real Chris Gardner (from the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" post)

Wikipedia:

Gardner was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Thomas Turner and Bettye Jean Gardner. He was the second child born to Bettye Jean, his older half-sister is Ophelia from a previous union; and younger siblings are Sharon and Kimberly, children from his mother's marriage to Freddie Triplett.
Gardner did not have many positive male role models as a child, as his father was living in Louisiana during his birth, and his stepfather was physically abusive to his wife and children. Triplett's rages made Gardner and his sisters constantly afraid. In one incident, Bettye Jean was falsely imprisoned when Triplett reported her to the authorities for welfare fraud; the children were placed in foster care. When Gardner was eight years old, he and his sisters returned to foster care a second time when their mother, unbeknownst to them, was convicted of trying to kill Triplett by burning down the house while he was inside.
While in foster care, Gardner first became acquainted with his three maternal uncles: Archibald, Willie and Henry. Of the three, Henry had the most profound influence on him, entering Gardner's world at a time when he most needed a father figure. Tragically, Henry drowned in the Mississippi River when Chris was nine years old. The children learned that their mother had been imprisoned when she arrived at Henry's funeral escorted by a prison guard.
Despite her unhappy marriage and her periods of absence, Bettye Jean was a source of inspiration and strength to her son Chris. She encouraged Gardner to believe in himself and sowed the seeds of self-reliance in him. Gardner quotes her as saying, "You can only depend on yourself. The cavalry ain't coming." Gardner also determined from his early experiences that alcoholism, domestic abuse, child abuse, illiteracy, fear and powerlessness were all things he wanted to avoid in the future

The Pursuit of Happyness

First of all. The word Happyness looks weird. HAHA. It's a good story though. Inspiring young people like me. I watched it during English class yesterday. I could almost get caught crying in the class. It feels different when you are actually watching a movie which was inspired by a true story. I noticed the word "inspired by a true story" from the beginning of the movie and I knew it was going to be great. As I watched it, I imagined how it would be like if it was real and I began to feel sorry for the father and the son. Then, there was a time when I felt angry at the people who took him for granted. It was so touching and I felt so thankful that I don't have to suffer things like that since my parents raised me with an adequate living. This movie had taught me a lot and I know somehow great challenges may come in to our life, we just have to get ourself ready for any of that.

The movie was even more touching when the actor was Will Smith and Jaden Smith. Almost everybody knows that they are real family. They are both good actors and just by watching this movie, you will automatically know that they have a loving family in their real life. The part where they had to sleep in the toilet had me crying. I could almost fail to hide my tears from my classmates at that part. Haha. Chris (Will Smith) was silently crying while covering Christopher's (Jaden Smith) ears when there was someone banging at the toilet door. "Maybe he was trying to give his son some good night sleep." I thought.

Anyway, I think young people should watch it and learn how to be thankful of what your family has been doing for you. Not everybody has a prosperous life. Cherish your life while it's there. Cheers! ^.^

Twilight

Twilight? It has been a great sensation to the movie lovers nowadays. People would talk about it even though the only thing they see in advance is the movie trailer. Like what I see among my friends, they talk about it 3 months before the release. I would say "You rule!" to Catherine Hardwicke and Stephenie Meyer for the excellent teamwork.

In fact, I am one of the "Twilight geek" too BUT not as fanatic as some others that I believe do exist. The interesting flavour in this movie is that it has its own way of making people wanted to wait for the "what-will-happen-next" scene. Even though some of the scenes are draggy and dull, but the bond that the Twilight fans and the movie itself are able to make the fans think that the movie is going to get better on the next saga. HENCE, they will keep waiting until the next saga comes.

Keeping myself patient for the next Twilight saga: Breaking Dawn, I know it's going to be great. Just by watching the trailer of Bella getting married with Edward-the vegan vampire, makes me excited. I think it's going to be great this time. I might consider myself as a Twilight fan too. =.="

Talking about Twilight fans, something suddenly came up on my mind.-The Edward fan and Jacob fan thing. It's quite funny how people tend to fight for these characters. Haha! That's just the prove of having the high percentage of popularity. The movie is not only being loved by most people but is also hated by the rest of them. Pictures of Bella and Edward are photoshop-ed to be  something that might be amusing to the person who sees it. When there are lovers, there are haters too

To be considerately and purposely being out of this topic, I would conclude that movies are just movies and haters & lovers would still be haters & lovers; but 'nothing' would always be 'something' when we try our best to make it happen. (Motivations may sometime be useful in a blog even though it is "a little bit" not related to the topic we are talking about. Hehe.) Cheers! ^.^

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Rebecca Bloomwood was addicted to shopping which brings her to a ton of debts. She unintentionally landed a job writing for a financial magazine after accidentally mailing a good writing about financial in a letter. Overnight, her column becomes very popular that makes her an overnight celebrity. Her column was headed with her title as “The Girl in the Green Scarf”. The title was linked to the first time Rebecca and Luke met. At that time, she was lying about her sick aunt that she had to buy her a green scarf. She had herself getting some money change from Luke. The scarf was founded as hers when coincidentally Luke was her interviewer. (A true shopaholic would go out into the ocean just to shop.)

With her obsession in shopping, it was a total opposite from what her job was heading to. Her debt collector has been chasing her, calling her and stalking her. Losing her job for being accused of not paying her debts, has made her life miserable. Her bride-to-be best friend, Suze was angry with her when she finds out that Rebecca lost her bridesmaid dress-which makes her life even miserable. She decided to sell her clothes including the green scarf to pay her debts. Meanwhile, Luke has started a new company, Brandon Communications.

Rebecca clothes sale was a success that she was able to pay her debts. Rebecca attends Suze's wedding after reclaiming her bridesmaid dress, and Suze forgives her. Surprisingly, Luke returned the green scarf to Rebecca after revealing that the person who bought it at an auction was acting as his agent. Luke and Rebecca reunite and they began a new love life together with their new job at Luke’s new company.

It was a nice movie and this movie taught me about the disadvantages of excessive shopping in life and taught me how you turn your weaknesses into something valuable. Anyway, shop wisely. ^.^

The Terminal

A movie about a Bulgarian man travels to New York to fulfil his promise to his father.

What would I do if I were him (Vikor Navorski)?

Viktor was not allowed to go back to his own country and he's also forbidden to be in New York City. If I were him, I would probably do the same thing like what he did. It was a very childish way to observe people in the airport getting 25 cents reward for every trolley that they retrieved and decided to do the same thing just to get some money for lunch. At the same time, it is a very good way of collecting money for lunch when there's no employers in the airport that can accept you as their employee. I would also do that when I'm critically broke. In the other hand, losing food coupons was because of his carelessness. I would tell the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Head Frank Dixon that I lost my food coupons. Well, maybe it would be hard for him to communicate at that time but spontaneous sign language won't be so bad, right? I would also be friends with Enrique like what Viktor did. Being a cupid for him and his dream girl was actually a noble deed. Not to mention the foods provided by Enrique for giving some information about his dream girl. That was awesome! Helping people and getting rewards are exactly the things that I should do when I'm in Viktor's situation. Moreover, I am also impressed of Viktor on his discovery of construction work talent. I would also do what I enjoy doing and sooner or later people in the airport would notice my talent and make some business with it. Viktor was paid 19$ per hour which was said by Frank Dixon that Viktor's salary is way better than his. That's about it. If you haven't watch it, make some time for it or you will miss it.
Cheers! ^.^

Holiday is here!

First of all, I wanna thank all of you bloggers and blog-walkers who has been reading my post(s). Second of all, I wanna tell you guys that I'm on a holiday week. How do I describe it?

BORING.fun.BORING.fun.BORING.fun.

wEiRd HUH???

haha. Someone, anonymously asked for the lyrics of my song. Frankly saying, my lyrics was not grammatically perfect. My uncle mentioned me on that. But I knew it earlier than he did. It's just that, the song sounds better when a word is grammar-wronged (is that even a word?). So yeah... Here's the lyrics to my dear "ANONYMOUS" person. I appreciate your request! Thanks. ^.^

1, 2, 3 Exam!

It's a disaster when you have 6 assignments, 1 role play, 5 exam papers in two weeks time.

Computer Lab

Basically computer lab is a place where you can see computers in it. (Obviously) =.="

The main point is I am now in a computer lab with no facebook. AND youtube. AND any other social website. I just don't think people would be appreciating a computer lab without those websites. But apparently, it's for the good sake of the college students. I can imagine a bunch of students hanging out in the computer lab pretending to be studying when they are actually chatting online. That's the consequences of having facebook in the computer lab.

It's APRIL!

Totally~ I know and I get it. It's April. Guess what... No one gave me an april fool prank. Which is weird... hahahaha... and yet I'm relieved that april fool is over now. I hate April Fool day but I love the date - 1st of April - why? It's my mother's birthday! Awww... *heart shape* (I wanted to type the heart shape here but it seems to be coming out in weird characters) I'm not kidding okay. Happy April by the way. If that's how you greet people on April. Hehehe.

Btw, I saw a picture of April saying that "April is Autism Awareness Month". I didnt know that! So yeah... Here it is...

I'm blogging.

Can you believe it that I'm actually blogging while listening to the radio through my charging handphone and I AM STANDING UP. Thanks to my college that I had to wait for 4 hours for the next class to begin. Thanks for cancelling the morning class. Thank you very much.

I am your best friend by LiRa

A song that I created when I was 16 years old. It's about best friends. I don't really know how to create a Love song back then. Hahaha. So I came up writing a Best Friend song which I bravely sang during our last day of high school (17 years old). When I finished singing, some of them were crying and some were like "Yeah. Okay. Cool.". So here we go. You only have to click the play button to listen to me sing. Enjoy! Subscribe~ hehe

Internet addiction.

Updating my blog. HAHA. It's a common thing to update my blog but I've been so addicted to the internet nowadays. Not only the famous social networking website (facebook) is in my list of addiction but also some other websites that brings you closer to the people all over the world. Such as:
  1. online radios
  2. blogger.com
  3. yahoo.com (what???)
  4. youtube.com
  5. msn (not really)
  6. etc... etc...
Yeah... I know you are addicted to the internet as much as I do. OR maybe you are more than addicted. Some people commits suicide due to the pressure from the people in the internet. Which is ST_P_D (fill in the blanks with suitable vowels).

So, use the internet wisely. Some people use the internet to make their life and other people's life easier but some people enjoy spreading viruses and executing cyber bully (is that how you spell it?) to the innocent people on social networking websites. Believe me. I watch news.

So stop the addiction or you'll be the slave of the cyber world. (I'm telling this to myself as well.)

I kinda feel like I'm doing an English essay here. So, in a nut shell (haha), I conclude that internet has its own way to produce whether it is an intelligent society or a corrupted society. But don't blame the internet. Blame the humans.

It's almost Chinese New Year!

CNY! When it comes to this Chinese celebration, all I can think about is HOLIDAY and THE RED PACKET! Well... I'm not that excited for holidays anymore but I'm excited for the red packet to land on my hands. I've been trapped in my own house for almost a month now. It's all because of that MIA (missing in action) lecturers.*We should focus more on CNY*

Basically on CNY, people will start playing with the firecrackers and blowing up the fireworks and that reminds me of Katy Perry's song called Fireworks. Haha. In malaysia, the Indians, Malays, Dusun, Murut and some other races celebrates CNY together. This is actually a good thing that the people in Malaysia respects each other's celebration or races. That's what One Malaysia should be like. But there are some individuals and also groups of people that are not cooperating in this One Malaysia thing. Oh well... That's how life goes. You can't force everybody to be an angel when you are living on earth. It's their life to choose what they wanted to do. Hehe.

And by the way,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Happy New Year!

Yes it's new year! The calender shows that today is the 1st January in the year of 2011. Wow. Big number aye? Hahaha. I'm happy but knowing that I'll be busier this year, I have to get ready to face the real world this time. Baking and singing at the same time. Haha. Sounds funny but yeah.. I'm excited (kinda).

And yeah... I celebrated new year with my cousins. Which was not what I usually do every 31st December. This was my first time celebrating New Year with my cousins. It's not that I don't spend much time with them, it's just that I've been celebrating New Year at church with some friends since I was a Child. And last night was awesome! We had a great bbq, karaoke, Uno games and had a chit chat. Love it! haha.
